Oh the poor little things, I wonder what happened? :( Could it be from the flooding in the NW? I love Robins! :circlelove:

It's weird here too. We still have robins hanging around. They're usually gone by now. Confused? Maybe some smart ornithologist knows the answer!

Maybe all the warming and cooling has them confused! Dunno! Hope you got pictures, DM

;)

I'm not kidding FG! This isn't a joke. I can't wait to get up tomorrow and see if they're still there! *cue creepy music* If DH hadn't seen them first, I wouldn't have believed my eyes. I haven't seen a Robin all Winter and today~ they were everywhere.

Be afraid~ be very afraid.

why don't you call your local zoo and ask about it.
call the news stations. they might be looking for a great nature story.

our little DM will be on the news, maybe even CNN

Wha...?

Those are our Canadian robins, aren't they? . . . I thought that's where our robins went every Winter; to CA, where it's warm. :)

(Apparently they often just go into hiding, and many don't actually leave Vancouver or the Pacific Coast at all ...)

What kinds of trees/shrubs do you have in your yard? Anything that produces berries? When Robins are "winterizing" their eating habits change and they'll all congregate in an area that has the food they're looking for. Apparently Cafe DM has the menu!!

I'll be the one w/the bag over my HAID, Cathy!!! :paperbag: That is too funny! Awww Judy~ the news stations are an hr away and they are too busy checking potholes from Winter's wrath.. :D

OK, I couldn't wait for the sun to come up to check out my fine feathered friends, peeked out and GASP~~ we got an inch of snow last night. My backyard was almost all grass, as the snow had melted. Mother Nature is now messing w/my Robins. This is ILLINOIS!!!! It's 22 degrees out and I can't see any Robins from my patio doors!! DH put out all diff kinds of bird food last night, so hopefully they will eat it. We have had more Cardinals, Blue Jays this year too. Maybe I'm just noticing it more cause I'm getting, dare I say~~~ OLDER????

Well, I am on the case! Gotta find out why they are here. I think I need a life!!! :Ponder:

Cherie~~ I didn't see any of my Robins' carrying a Canadian flag. Do they chirp in French Canadian??? :) They're mine now!! bwah ha ha!
