Default Why do some people have such bad manners?

I'm fuming!

We invited my cousin & her husband for a BBQ lunch today. We agreed on 12midday so we could have a chat before we ate, and maybe a beer or a glass of champagne, which I bought just for the occassion.

DH & I shopped especially for this, then cooked half the morning so everything would be ready when they arrived at midday, and here it is.......2:00pm, and they still haven't arrived!!

The lovely food we both prepared is mostly spoiled.

It's not even that they forgot or couldn't come, as I spoke to the wife on the telephone about 11am, when I phoned to confirm everything.

How can some-one be two hours late for a meal invitation and not even call?

I am so darn cross!

Oh Anne, so sorry.

I would be upset too but possibly something really big happened and they couldn't call ??? I do hope they will have a good explanation - if not - I would not be inviting them over again !

First, I hope they are Ok and you hear from them soon. Second, if they just blew you off I wouldn't invite them again.

My sister did that for our Christmas meal. She knew my daughter had to leave to go back home at 6 PM. My brother got in at 11:30 AM so we planned to have our meal at around noon so we could stuff stocking, open gifts and just generally enjoy the kids with thier gifts afterwards before they had to go home. So my sister gets there at 1 PM!!!!! Mashed potatoes are cold, tempers are over heated.

Anne

I am sorry! That's just rude. Relatives think they can get away with behavior like that and not have to explain!

I hope they finally showed up and had a darn good excuse!
