and snow on and snow on....

Michigander here...and we've had a winter to remember for sure. Me and DH are hoping we will have some freedom and the means to winter elsewhere for 2009! Growing up...winter was no reason for me to stay indoors, ice skating, sledding, toboggan runs, snowman-making, it was so much of my life.

My neighbors also enjoyed my outdoorsyness when it came to me willingly shoveling their walks...snow brushing their cars....just so I could be out in the snow......BUT, that hasn't happened in 4 years! I can't anymore, but I sure do miss it all :Sigh:

I know our winter does not compare to what you all are dealing with but we are supposed to get another snow storm here today too. It was 14 here yesterday but at least the sun was shining. It is shining today but we know it's not going to last. We've had a lot of snow this year but thankfully it has melted inbetween storms. It has been bitter cold tho which is unusual for here. Can't seem to warm up. We've had the fireplace going a lot more than usual to save on oil for the furnace.

I sympathize with you guys, I remember the years we lived in Boston and Reno. No thanks!

Well, thanks everyone for your weather reports! :D

You've all convinced me that it is important for me to take a break from my 70 hours (with OT) this week and call in for the night!! :p

The predictions here are for varying amounts from 10-24 inches of snow, depending on where in the state you are, I am in a valley and I'm SURE it will be too dangerous for me to drive at 10:30 p.m., don't you?? :winky:

Ahhh...

We have mountains of snow and it won't even melt at all since we haven't had a day above 12 degrees in I can't recall how long. Let's all hold a vigil for the groundhog for an early spring. :D

I'm longing for a day to work outside and clear the cobwebs from my mind.

If the woodchuck tries to get out of his hole to see his shadow Monday, he's going to need a bucket loader to move the snow.

Of course, we'd LOVE it if we only had six more weeks of winter.

Punxsutawney isn't that far from me, perhaps I should go have a chat with Phil and make it clear to him that he is NOT going to see his shadow - or else....;)
