If I go get my hair colored (I've been going gray early since I was 17) then people think I'm in my late 20's or early 30's. (I'm going to be 40 a month from tomorrow.) I notice that when my hair is colored back to the color that I was born with, I get carded more often for alcohol (I dont buy alcohol that much...usually I get it at the store for my dad)

I usually let the color grow out of my hair to the point where I'm gray and the guy who cuts my hair is freaking out because I dont maintain the color job that costs me lots of money everytime I do it. (hey, he gets a big check on the days that I decide to re-color)

When I went to the MS Clinic last month, the stupid nurse insulted me and my gray hair. She asked me how old I was, told her I was 39 and was going to be 40 in May. She said something like "yeah, you look it with the gray hair" I was going to say something about her weight after that, (she was bigger than me!) but I decided to not tick off the nurse since nurses are who you usually have to go thru before seeing the doctor. Now I wish I'd used my snappy comeback, since the doctor was a real <bad word> too and I'm not going to be using the MS Clinic at all now.

I find that if I buy one size too big I can (sort of) fool myself into thinking that my clothes are really loose!! Well, they are.....but not for the reasons I want them to be!

Well if I must be honest, then I should own up to never having had the perfect hourglass figure, but I've been slim all my life so haven't had to worry about my weight or my shape.

Maybe now I'm old and gray, my figure will change. As long as I don't change inside, then I'm not too concerned what the outer layer looks like.

I have found one advantage.

My friend always had that perfect butt; you know the one shaped like a heart, that fits into a size 27 jeans EVERY day? Not me . . . God blessed me with no butt cheeks.

As we aged, hers started to sag , but so did mine . Now I have cheeks for the first time in my life.

I blew out my tummy muscles with my second daughter, at age 37. All was good till about the 3rd week overdue, and I could never regain that flat belly, even when all the weight was gone.

Oh well, there are times along the way that I felt like I was a 40-something yr old going on 83yrs . . . and even if I don't look that great any more, I feel pretty good.

Cherie
