Default GM Gets 2 Billion More!

Like pouring money down a rat hole..

Ford doesn't need our money, even though they showed monumental losses for the 1st quarter. They seem to be restructuring with what they've got.

Did anyone see GM's new restructioning plan, before we gave them this extra 2 billion..

I've been having to do a lot of restructioning, here, myownself and only get $250....maybe?

When does this madness end?

WHAT????

I thought it was decided that they wouldn't get anymore money. They are talking bankruptcy in the next few months. I even read that GM will be closing most of the US plants for at least 9 weeks this summer. They usually close for only 2 weeks in July every year.

I just got my letter for the $250 stimulus check. I'm grateful for it.....but please don't give GM more money to pi** away. Shoot, if I could have just $50K of that money I could make that last for years.

In my opinion General Motors has proven that it cannot manage what bailout $$ it already got.

I owe income taxes this year and still don't know how I'm going to manage to pay it all. It just seems so unfair that they keep throwing good money at this bad situation. Throw some my way! I promise to put it to good use. I'll put it right back into the economy.....starting with the IRS!!

bankruptcy isnt what it used to be. days gone by meant you filed, and you were released from ALL debt, with the exception of IRS. today when you file, its a restructure, and a managed debt plan that is layed out for you by the government. so, even if we give another 2 billion, they MUST repay it all back. they will remain on the hook for it.

That being said. I am AGAINST giving one red cent to any more business folks. Banks, car dealers, insurance giants, dog walkers, candy stripers, or whom ever. ENOUGH! The banks that got the money still cant show what they did with it. We have exec commiting suicide, and others running for cover. All these big gains they are now showing, it looks like more cooked books. We are living in some really scary times, and we cannot and should not spend out way out of this one. Its time to close the pocket book.

Going Galt never sounded like such a good idea until now. Have they moved "Atlas Shrugged" over into the non-fiction aisle at Barnes and Noble yet? If they haven't, they should.

Personally, I resent it. I resent it deeply.

As far as I could tell, their big "restructuring" plan consisted of 9 weeks unpaid leave for all employees. That's pretty sad if that's really all they could come up with.
