Once I pay off my root canal, I'm going back to my podiatrist who diagnosed the arthritis in my toes and get him to make the orthotics he offered to make me last winter. They're supposed to help the arthritis in my big toes. (broke both toes, not at the same time, and that's where I got the arthritis)

I already have orthodics for my bursitis! So I really hope this is just something I strained. :(

I never would have started except after my best friend's husband starting doing the walks the year they got married. I was so touched that this man who barely knew me was willing to do this. So my DH and I started walking with them and we have been doing it every since - over 10 years now. The last two years I wasn't feeling up to it so I just volunteered. Last year I missed the walk so much I told myself I was walking this year no matter what. So if I walk Sunday it will be in pain - oh well, it's not going to stop me!

I figure it's only 6 miles and they have vehicles that can take me back at any time. :D Besides the walk we used to do here in my home town was 10 miles and we used to do it in April in the snow and freezing rain. Wait...up hill both ways...with no shoes....:winky: (had to exaggerate on that last line!)

Getting orthodics for the bursitis did help me quite a bit. Then he gave me these wonderful little green pills that helps even more! I love my podiatrist. :D

Congratulations on not only the weight loss but how far you can walk in 1 shot! That's awesome! Although I have done the MS Walk a couple of times the realty is the MS Walk done me in by the 1st mile. Of course, stupid pride wouldn't let me stop and I kept up, very slowly, to the end. The fact that you can do 2 to 3 miles daily is just admirable!

Great job K! I'm proud of you.

You know what, I'm proud of me too and it's so nice to hear it from others. I think if I keep thinking this way, I may just keep feeling better!! It's nice to feel better after the winter I had! And I know all of you know what I mean...being understood is so nice.

My foot is still hurting but I did make it the 6 miles today at the MS Walk. It was a beautiful day and it was so nice to see so many people there walking and raising money.
