Hang in there, Sal, you've had a pretty good attitude through all that junk and I give you credit for keeping your sense of humor!

Don't Ask..:D

AWWW Salpal~ You know I've just ''gotta ask"!! :D Huh? Huh??

Don't be standing out in the yard w/a kite and key in your hand. Take care and I agree w/AMN (but don't tell her that) You've got one great sense of humor and wit!

*psssst ~ your wit isn't dim like AMN's.

Oh and Mr Mouse made an appearance today while my DD and Grands were here. He just sat there, until Pal went up and sniffed him, then he left.

I'm starting to take this crapola in stride, now.. Keeping my sense of humor...thanks, Cindy.

Hey, Sal, you might get a kick out of three emails from my niece one night this past January. She lives in NYC in a small loft on the 5th floor.

10:35pm Die Maus!!
Ich habe eine Maus in meinem Haus! Ack!!

The darn thing figured out how to eat the cheese without getting caught in the trap. Hmmm. I just set out some glue traps, too, so we'll see.

12:19am MOUSE!
I pulled back the covers to get into bed, and guess who was all tucked in, on my pillow? MOUSE!!! Ack! I screamed. I tried to catch it with the mug in my hand but it pooped, peed & ran under my bed! Then, as I was changing my sheets, it ran under my desk! MOUSE!!! Then I grabbed the broom and tried to beat the crap out of it, but it ran in my closet. No one messes with my shoes! No! No! No, I yelled. I scared it out of the closet & into my $200 Banana Republic boot. I rolled it up, took the elevator downstairs in my parka & PJs, & tried to let it out. IT WASN'T IN THERE!!!

There's still a frickin' mouse in my house!!!

I've set four sticky traps & the two wooden ones, and am borrowing Cheril's cat tomorrow night. I WILL TRIUMPH!

No more poop in my bed! Hmph.

12:52am Me: 1 Mouse: 0
Ha! I win!

The small but crafty creature was anything but quiet. As I dejectedly cleaned up my shoe pile, I heard what I thiought was the gurggling of steam heat when it was in fact the nervous nibble of MOUSE! It had run into the bathroom, and was hiding in a corner under the bathroom vanity cabinet. Like shooting a fish in a barrell now. Almost. It found another hiding place in the cabinet. While it chomped & snivvled away, I rounded up the sticky traps, grabbed the broom and shut the bathroom door. It leaped, but only after I'd stunned it with a few shots of Scrubbing Bubbles. It did a few laps around the toilet & ricocheted off the broom twice before I chased it to its doom: three sticky traps. Ha ha! It squeaked, but I covered it with another trap, in cold blood. Into the pastry board shipping box went the whole mess, and then out into a trash can in the street.

I WIN!

SCRUBBING BUBBLES! LMAO! I just about spit my coffee out on that one. That was good AMN! Thanks for posting that.

Sally - I do hope things start getting better. Hopefully today the lift will be fixed for good and you will be able to go down and check out your new washer.

*tkrik packing up laundry to send to Sally to try out her new washer*:D
How much are stamps now? How many stamps would I need to send a 200 lb box of laundry? LOL

SallyC 05-11-2009 11:09 AM

LMAO @ Cindy's Niece!!!:ROTFLMAO::ROTFLMAO::ROTFLMAO::ROTFLMAO:

I tried to corner my maus, too, but, alas he was too quick and he's back in hiding. He didn't eat last night, so maybe he's sick.

I hope he doesn't die in my wall, somewhere...ack..the smell will be another thing for me not to laugh at, Cindy..

I hope he doesn't die in your wall too! That would be nasty smelling.

So, did you get my laundry done and folded nicely? Did you fold my fitted sheet perfectly?

Hoping today is a good day for you Sally.:hug:

SandyC 05-12-2009 10:01 AM

Sal, it's time to stop the humanity and stick that mouse where it belongs.

Agree! Only, take note from AMN's niece . . .Scrubbing Bubbles will not scrub the little critter away.;)

I don't have those issues here but doesn't peanut butter work to entice the little guys? I have heard of people putting peanut butter in traps.

SallyC 05-12-2009 10:29 AM

No laundry yet, folks, thanks for asking..:p

The part for the stairlift didn't come in, as expected, so waiting for call.:rolleyes:

Mr Maus may still be alive but much quieter. He probably moved back into my car, to chew the wires again..
