75 year old Dom Delouise died at home in his sleep after a long illness. After battling obesity most of his life, and 2 successful cook books, he enrolled in the Durham NC diet and obsity clinc to lose enough weight to have his hip replaced.
The illness was not disclosed. No arrangements have been announced. He was awesome! Ok Bea Arthur, Dom Delouise...who will be #3? doesnt it always come in 3's?

My Mom used to love to watch him on TV. I remember some of his shows. I'm sorry to hear he's gone.

I cried when I heard about it this morning.
It's weird, last night on Red Eye (a show on Fox News that's somewhat...irreverent) was showing pictures of Dom DeLuise during their "voice mail" segment (where viewers call up and leave voice mails to the host of the show...it's usually tacky comments) They werent being mean about showing pictures of him, and I'm sure they had no idea that he'd died. I think it was just strange timing. They were only showing pictures of him to have something on the screen during the segment. Seeing the pictures of Dom DeLuise was just great tho. I've always loved Dom DeLuise, and not just for his acting and comedy. He's just always seemed like he was just a great person.

He was one of the good guys and was hilarious in the Cannonball Run movies w/Burt Reynolds. RIP Dom!

I read that he died in his sleep at the hospital where he was for kidney failure, and respiratory problems after a long battle with cancer. He will be missed.
