Default Feeling run over...

We just joined the Y, and my daughter wanted to go there for family night. I don't want my fatigue to slow her down in any way so I willingly went. If I only knew what I was getting myself into.

First we did family yoga and that was very interesting to say the least. I am sore in muscles I never knew I even had.

Then we went to open swim, and she decided we'd chase each other around the pool. There was a big inflated slide and while she was going down it, I got bored. So I did some "modified" swimming (looked like a drown rat trying to get away). Finally I got a break when she was playing with some other kids, and I got to talk to another mom.

We were there for 3 hours!! I am so hurting today. I get this Friday off from family fun night since she is going overnight to the Girl Scout camporee.

I plan to join some exercise classes this coming week - get a little exercise and socialization! Maybe soon I'll be able to keep up with her.

I agree~ you are Super Mom!! My kid's are grown, but I remember those days of trying to keep up w/them and I was younger and didn't have the health problems I do now. You'll have to take a few more breaks next time. (or keep her occupied w/her friends)

I know what you mean though K~ I feel so out of shape lately, but I'm trying to incorporate more exercise into my day. It's harder some days than others.

take care and just do what you feel up to. Happy Mother's Day and will you share the Bengay??

And here I thought as she got older, there'd be less physcial work involved! I'd be more than happy to share the Bengay! Happy Mother's Day to you too!

thats awesome! I cant think of a better cause to be sore for. My mom would have NEVER gotten in the pool with me. She would have screamed from the side lines IF she showed up at all. You are a great mom to go play with the kids! way to go!

How bout some icy hot? I will share mine.

You did a really good thing, and it sounds like both of you had a good time together. Your daughter will fondly remember things like that.
