Default **** Hit The Fan!

I've been real proud of how I've handled the stress, with all the carp that has rained on my parade, lately, but today was the kicker....the straw that broke the camel's back.

I won't bore you with a repeat of the whole list of cat's-asstrophies, but today they brought my new washer And they have to reschedule....wanna know why? Of course you do. ....

My chairlift to the basement, which they fixed last week, wouldn't move, so they couldn't get the washer past it.. If that wasn't enough, the lift repair place tells me that my lift is out of warranty and it will cost me 75.00 for them to come out.

I cried my face off, right in the poor girls ear...LOL. After I made her feel as bad as I could, I explained the week I had had and she immediately understood and wondered how had lasted so long.

I'm all over it now and looking forward to my next surprize...NOT!!

Thanks for letting me get that out...EEEEEK!!!

Sally, it wouldn't move at all or they couldn't get passed it? If it wouldn't move as in it's broke then I am sorry. Does it have a manual release when the electric wont work?

I can tell you with almost 100% confidance if you have enough head room that they could have laid the washer on the chair lift on it's side and guided it down if it could move down the track. How do I know this? I had the same problem and figured if the chair could hold 250 lbs it could hold a washer, dryer, treadmill, gas water heater, packed boxes, etc. LOL

The other thing is couldn't they lift it over the chair and then carry it down? I've done that too on occasions when something was too heavy to guide with the chair.

Aw, crap, Sal. Methinks that upstairs laundry theory we talked about might be a real possibility now. Get some rest.

Here, I poured you another margarita with extra salt.

Well, take it as a sign that you should not have to do laundry anymore.

Did that help?

It didn't?

Oh....................................

If you keep pouring her margaritas, she's going to get all schnockered. Which, really after the week she's had, probably would not be a bad thing.

Pass the Jose Cuervo...

Awwww Sally, I feel your pain... Doesn't it always happen that way? One thing after another. On top of my remodel job, new batteries for my "downstairs" scooter, my stairlift died which ended up being new batteries for it, then new batteries for my "upstairs" powerchair at $150 each (2), then one of the motors died!! Somehow I never realized that the batteries have to make 'something' move....duh....there are two motors. All in all, it cost around $1,500 just to keep me moving. Hopefully it will be something easy to fix with your stairlift!!!!

The PROJECT IS FINISHED!!!! Just in time for me to crash! Getting up at 8 am everyday being a nightowl, having people here all the time, making decisions, etc.....it was fun, but exhausting.

Do you happen to have any of those margueritas (sp?) left????

Here's to better days ahead!!!!
