Default Sports fan oddity

Well, I say it's an oddity. But then, I make up my own statistics.

My unofficial poll says that most people either like sports, or they don't. 100% of the people living in my household (all two of us) like baseball, but we don't like any other sports. I mean, we watch baseball games with great enthusiasm, but if there is any other sport on TV (basketball, football, hockey, golf) we change the channel.

Do you think being a one-sport fan is an oddity? It's a good match, anyway. Go Red Sox.

Not odd at all. I used to be a baseball, football and basketball fan but have mellowed out over the years. Now I am a baseball fan and football fan. Basketball bores me. Hockey is looking good though! I am also starting to get into some racing thanks to my cousin who drag races and a little derby action thanks to my Kentucky friends.

I'm a one sport fan, and that's football. I used to hate sports of all kinds, but I changed somehow. Being from Cleveland doesn't make being a football fan easy, but that's how it is. The Cavs are doing well right now, but basketball doesn't do it for me.

To me, the best days are when there's a Browns game on and I'm cooking something really nice. It sure helps the winter blues!

I love sports (to play that is), but hate watching it on tv.I think watching on tv is the most boring thing. i also hate professional sports because I think they make too much money and charge too much to go to a game. I would rather go to a semi pro game.

I used to be a big Golf fan, in the days of Palmer, Nicholas, Chi Chi...etc..... Aand a big Basketball fan, when my Mom was on the Staff of the Univ of Dayton, but now, I will watch a bit of golf, football and basketball, but not much..

Sorry folks, baseball has always bored the carp out of me...like watching grass grow.. I used to love to go to the Cincy Reds game, years ago, though, when our office had box seats ..FUN.....

Hubby was a one sport guy, though,....NASCAR all the way!!! You would have loved him, DM.

I'm a fan of soccer but only when watching our local team and mostly it's only at the stadium. But then again I am odd myself so maybe it is an oddity.

NASCAR for sure!!!! Jeff Gordon!!!! Woo Hoo!!!!! Like Sally, baseball is too boring waiting around for something to happen......basketball too sweaty...hockey too violent. Football is good, especially college. Figure skating, skiing, gymnastics are all good. To each his own!

My husband will watch Soccer all day, but put on ANY other sport, and he will change the channel and go outside. He rarely peeks at Nascar, and none of the other sports interests him. Me? I like Nascar, but only in small doses. I will watch some of the olympics, but in small stretches. So, nope, not weird at all, we do it in our house too.

Btw, the DH used to be a goalie for a semi pro team. I think that is why he is so in love with the sport, he used to play it.

I think I would have too, Salpal!

BTW, speaking of Nascar?? YAHHHH! Tony for winning the All Star Race Sat night. . Oh, and I only watch Nascar, but DH loves the Bears, the Fighting Illini and Cubs. He watches parts of the races w/me, though.
