Default Favourite films when you're feeling down?

Having a duvet day? Or a couch potato session? Feeling like a deflated balloon?
What film do you put on to watch? Or what films do you put on that you've seen so often that you don't need to be watching?
I have so many dvd's that I can put on and not have to pay attention, having seen them SO many times, just snooze to. Fave at the moment is Grey's Anatomy I-IV.
I haven't bought anything new in ages... any suggestions?

I like "you got mail" or meg ryan type stuff. I like Drew Barrymore in "everafter" or "never been kissed" or "sleepless in seatle" type stuff.

Harry Potter type stuff is good, like the "golden compass"

Anne of Green Gables, Kevin Sullivan version

Shawshank Redemption

Steel Magnolias

Pretty much anything that celebrates great relationships, friendships, or strong spirit.

When I am feeling down, I always love watching chick flicks as they always seem to cheer me up.

Some of my favourites are Grease and Dirty Dancing - they're pretty old but always make me smile. I also like High School Musical 1, 2, 3 and the new film that has just come out, Ghosts of Girlfriends Past (i'm not sure if that's out in the US yet).

One of my mums friends also leant us '27 Dresses' on DVD and it is really good and funny!

I really need to watch Mamma Mia! I still haven't watched it after months and keep meaning to as everyone says its really good and gets you singing.

One of my favorite movies is Dances With Wolves, and I really love the movie The Big Country (Gregory Peck, Charleton Heston, Burl Ives, Chuck Connors, Jean Simmons) My dad bought me the dvd because he thought that I'd like the movie. I loved it. It's all my dad's fault that I love to watch westerns. (grew up watching Hopalong Cassidy and The Lone Ranger)

I like science fiction and westerns (sometimes science fiction is a western, set in space...)

I really love watching old movies. I mean really old ones. Silent films. I love Charlie Chaplin and Harold Lloyd. Chaplin is my favorite silent actor. My favorite Chaplin movie is City Lights. But, I also really like The Great Dictator (his first talkie film).

Sometimes when I'm sick, I'll do little marathons of tv shows or movies. Lately, I've been watching a lot of the Stargate series. The original tv show, and the spinoff.

When visiting with my mom, I got old movies from the 40s and 50s to watch with her, and I was hooked. I love the AMC or TMC channel now.
