Default Went to an amusement park

We have a local amusement park here, Holiday World. It has had numerous world wide and nation awards for its roller coasters so it isn't a little park. Last year I went to all this trouble to buy a big cooler that I could carry on my scooter with refills for my cooling vest. It was a huge hassle. The high was just supposed to be about 85 so i decided to go without it. I had never gone to any amusement park without anything, just me. It was so refreshing. No camera, no fanny pack, just some extra money in one pocket. But I woke up feeling like I was hit by a mac truck. I don't know if it was the roller coaster, my daughter and son in law actually having to pick me up out of the water from the rides or what. But I totally enjoyed myself. But if one day at Holiday World can do that to me, what will a week next year in Florida with all the kids and grand kids do. We will be going in the fall because of the weather for me.

You will go, you will rest for a week, and you'll have years of memories.

Yes, for your children and grandkids to have wonderful memories too. I sure hope it works out for you!

Heart

I'm SO glad you had a good time at the amusement park with your family, Doydie!!!

Me and my mum went to an amusement park about 2 hours away from where we live about a week ago and it was really fun!! It's good as with the handicapped badge, over here in the UK, we can go on the rides almost straight away so can avoid all of the queues!! I think we got on about 21 rides which was really good as some people were waiting up to an hour for one ride!!!

I paid for going to the amusement park for a few days but it was really fun and nice to get out of the house for a bit!! My mum is really good and knows my limits and lets me sit down whenever I need to so that really helps ... my dad on the otherhand just wants me to keep on going which I CAN'T do at all now!!!!

I really hope you can get to Florida! My mum is wanting to go later this year again if we can afford it and I can get time off school. We have been about 5 times before and really love Disney World!! If we go, we will have to take my wheelchair/scooter as theres no way I will be able to walk round their amusement parks as they are waaaaay too big!!!

Take care of yourself and let us know if you get to go to Florida!!!
