We get mini-corn dogs from Schwan, kids love them and once in awhile I eat with a Mayo-Mustard dip for lunch. The ratio of dog to cornmeal coating is good in the minis. Full size ones, I don't care for.

I eat maybe one hotdog in a year. I consumed one last weekend at our family reunion. Looked too good after it had plumped and grilled on the BBQ!

So I guess I can't join you, Earl, cuz I can't have my next one till 2010!

Default Hey there Risby!!!!!

There's a Coney Island Lunch in Shamokin??? All this time I thought the one and only is in Scranton! They had a fire about a year ago and understand it's been rebuilt.....to look like the original just like you described. But I can't get there anymore. Yep, they were GREAT!!

I don't live in Scranton, but about 1/2 hour away. You're right, nothing ever compares!!

I was sure you'd go for the Onassis Coney from DTW!

Default For Judy Re Coneys & the Coal Region

Hello fellow coal cracker!!
The coney in shamokin has been there ever since I can remember. There used to be one in Pottsville and Sunbury also but I don't know if they are still there. The mall in Pottsville has a coney but it doesn't come close to the "real" ones but will do in a pinch!
Ever been to Knoebels?? My kids 26,24 & 21 are planning a weekend there with their cousins, doing the 'ride-all-day special. I plan to graze my way through the park while there, but leaving room for a coney on the way home!!

I had a Hebrew National hot dog for dinner last night. My dad didnt want to go out to eat, and decided to cook at home. (that ticked my mom off, she's mad because I wont drive her anywhere while I have double vision. She wants to "go out"!)

My dad put wasabi (Japanese mustard, very hot) on his hot dog...said it wasnt quite hot enough for him.

The DH had a hot dog the other night, and now he wants me to buy some! That used to be one of his favorites. I think I will get some kosher doggies for him.

See what you started?

great topic to make me laugh at just hot dogs...

I do like hot dogs, but as some only on occasion like the other day on Fourth of July.. my mom had brats and hot dogs... I am a kid, I do not like brats....

I must be young, I only remember the love with me line!! hahaha

I thought this may be of concern to you, Earl.

An Oscar Meyer Weinermobile crashed into a home in Wisconsin, today..

Oh, the humanity!
