Earl? Naps and Shelley don't scare you? Even a little?

What is wrong with that boy?

New development! Here is a blog that explains some of the dodging structure of "invisible" companies. The site in Earl's original post is a fake.

http://needmoneyblog.blogspot.com/20...marketing.html

Their clever way of circumventing any cancellation of membership is by simply not answering any of their phone numbers. Nada, I have tried virtually every related number and they ring about 35 times and an "all circuits are busy" alert plays and disconnects the call. This way, they can claim that one never cancelled and is responsible for the nefarious charges.

How can they get away with that? Isn't that illegal?

Default I'm sorry

I thought this was legit. The link I posted was directly from fox.com. here's a screen capture of the fox.com website this morning, see how it is a posted link there.

I am very sorry some of you are going through all the trouble associated with this.

And yes, I do see it says it is an ad. I didn't see that the first time.

I have edited out the link in the first post as we really cant risk having members scammed any further

sorry Earl...we know you didnt mean any harm

these scammy sites abound on the 'net so do be careful and NEVER give out personal info or credit card to sites you have not verified first!

For the record, ya'll, I did it knowing that I'd be scammed, I wanted to see what they're about. Unless you're prepared to risk your info and cancel a credit card, this is a stupid thing to do!

I'm out $2.99 and had to close a card. The new one will be here in a few days.
