I was thinking of a young Walter. I am old enough to remember him when. I thought he was a hunk.

Walter Cronkite a hunk?

I always wanted to trim his hairy eyebrows, lol! Never thought of him as a hunk. *shrug Whatever floats yer boat, Sal! :D

I would have voted to Bic it, Earl. But I won't let my DH shave his -- he's still got all his blonde hair! He still wears it like he did in 1972 when he graduated HS.

Earl, have you noticed you can tell the age of most men by the way their wear their hair? Good for you for getting a makeover! :)

Earl I said part it to the side, but change it to the other side. Part on the right. If you keep parting your hair the same way for years, you lose more hair from the part side. Give it a break and change the part if you can, JMO.

You look good both ways, but pushing it all the way back will make you lose more frontal hair. While you still have it, flaunt it. :)

Love the goatee btw. :D It suits you and looks very nice.

Don't shave? Many don't have the head for it ot that "look" . When I did Novantrone (which did not affect my hair) I worried, having a pinhead and definitely not a hat head. You look like a potential hat head, I finallyfound one everyone loves and I look at you and think straw and cloth fedoras. NO cowboy hat silliness!!!!

I was going to say shave it, until you said that you have tried it before and it didn't work out....I say combing it back.

And look at your clothing. Don't think buy young", but Oprah is right, dark jeans are more slimming (I found her right on bra fit but don't think that concerns you) and no pleated pants and wear shirts sold in this time. I fall into time ruts, DD says that shirt is soooo 90's, and she is right. Kids!!! (but I listen to what she says though) (Not on house color though). I don't buy nmuch, but when I do no cheapies. Less, but better.

Not a big fashionista here but...

I believe in the motto *trend freindly, but not trendy*. Especialy with more expensive things - coats, shoes, purses.

I can do a cheap T shirt that's in style, cuz i'll wear it out before it gets *old*. I'll grow out a trendy hairdo (if ever I had one lol). But I won't waste money on a hot trend jacket that's embarrassing next year.

Stuff for the house is the same way.

I think men have in some ways more sense about this. They pick what they like and are comfortable with. You don't see them torturing their feet in pointy shoes because it's the big thing this year.

Earl, I like the hair back too. Update the wardrobe if you want with your fave kind of shirts in a little color - that's the thing this year, colors like purple, green, yellow. No need to go crazy, just a thing or two.
