The Wii console that includes the sports pack (bowling, baseball, tennis, golf...) is $249 American. The balance board that includes several balance games is $89 american. Most of the games that you will buy for the Wii run from $15 to $50.
The machine comes with only one controller, which can be shared. You can buy another one for $10 to $15 and you can buy the recharger set for about $20 which prevents you from ripping through the batteries. you simply drop your controller in it, and it recharges while you are not using it. If you have wireless internet in your house, your Wii will see it, and you can use it to get on the internet. You can also plug it into your router for a wired connection. You can buy a key board for it and type away or use the controller to peck out letters on the screen. There are tons of extras you can buy, but you should start off with the basic system, and see how much you like it. then worry about all the fancy extras.
