Default The British Open

Who else will be watching the Open to see 59 year old, 5 time winner, Tom Watson win?

Seems like Old times..

I watched and what a finish. Sad for Tom but something very old guard passing off to the new guard about the finish. What a gentleman Tom is.

And how beautiful was the course.

It was only a wish and a hope. Tom is and always has been the perfect gentleman golfer.

He is my kind of person.

Tennis got better for me when whiny John McEnroe was replaced with Pete Sampras and Andre Agassi.

I'm disappointed, but hey - he just got tired...

Good job, Tom!

We were in Lexington and my daughter is a control freak with 'her tv'. Golf is not on her list of things to watch. But we look forward to every Thursday through Sunday to watch the latest tournaments. We were proud to see Watson play so well, just wish he could have brought home the prize. But what he brought home was the respect of millions of Americans about what a 59 year old golfer can do. We were also very proud of our local guy, Jeff Overton. At this very tired moment in my day I can't remember his placement but for him it was pretty high.
