Default My cataract eye surgery

So I had my left eye cataract surgery on June 30. It did not go well. It seems my eye had an inflammatory response. All in all, the week before the 4th of July weekend, I had three surgeries on that eye.

My vision in that eye is now 20/100, but it is clearing a little bit at a time. They said I will require another laser surgery to remove a vale of cells that are forming over my pupil. They said the laser surgery is no big deal, especially after what I’ve been through.

I’m pretty confident that they will make it right. I had checked this eye clinic out pretty thoroughly in advance. The head surgeon, Dr. Fichman, runs the place ergo Fichman Eye Clinic. He has no reprimands on record, nobody is suing him or his company, nor has he/they been sued in the last six years.

They specialize in cataract and lasic surgery, so their practice is booming. They have been doing this kind of surgery in their own facilities for over ten years, and have had a very low turnover of medical staff. On my OR crew, the newbie had been working there six years.

These people know what they are doing. So when things didn’t go smoothly, I was very glad I put the effort in up front to know I am dealing with the best. That alone took a lot of the worry out of the situation.

I’ll keep y’all updated.
