Default Who has the dropsies?

The last week I have had a bad case of the dropsies. I am a royal clutz. I had an ice cream cone out with friends last night, yep, dropped it and it rolled down the front of my pretty white SILK shirt. Went to dinner at a neighbors, and yep, gravy down the front of my clean shirt I put on, and onto my pants. Dropped two glasses, and a cat.

I have very tough skin, so when I do my injections, I have to pop it hard to get past the skin issues. This morning, I dropped my injection, and it lands needle side down, and went slamming into my skin just above my knee. I just stared at it! it HURT! I thought about using that as my injection point, but it was too close to my knee, and no fat, DRAT! I pulled it out, and shoved it in my thigh. The knee one bled like crazy, and of course got a blood stain on my pants.

I have ruined more shirts this summer, and have dropped more glasses, and silverware, and food on the floor then I care to admit.

is it just me? does anyone else have the dropsies?

Oh yeah do I ever! Some days are worse than others and I'm dropping everything but all I can do is laugh. One funny story is when I was still working and I had a stapler in my hand and somehow, still don't know quite how, it suddenly went flying out of my hand nearly hitting one of my co-workers. Oops.

I do. I know better than to try and hold anything with my right hand. But, being naturally right handed sometimes I forget. Usually the casualty is a glass dropped in the sink, or a plate of something dropped on the way to the table. I don't even feel it happening.....just hear the unmistakable sound of glass breaking or food hitting the floor......

Sounds all too familiar, Deji!

You didn't mention lids -- makeup lids end up all over my bathroom some days!

And I have yet to finish a meal without wearing some of it on my blouse. (I have a built-in "shelf" where food just naturally lands). Putting a napkin on my lap is of no use: the food never makes it that far, lol!

I have periods where I will have the dropsies and then they will disappear. However, I also rarely need a napkin as I have a built in shelt also. I always carry a Tide pen with me.

Oh Yeah I am the Queen of Klutz!

My shirts would show what I have had for breakfast, lunch and dinner if I didn't have the tide pen. I don't need a napkin; I need a drop cloth!

Yesterday I tipped a glass of lemonade so that was a real mess to mop up.

The dog stands behind me as I prepare meals especially chopping veggies because something will hit the floor and it's his!

I bought a couple of terry "dish towel" bibs at a craft fair, carry one in the car and keep one in the kitchen for the rare occasions when I'm not wearing an old tee shirt. I can count on dropping/spilling whatever's most apt to stain. Salad dressing, for example.

I'm VERY careful picking up anything fragile, liquid, hot, etc. The trouble is, I don't realize I'm dropping something until it's on the floor.

Count me in. Just like everything else with MS, I have good days and bad days. Some days I drop most everything I pick up. LOL

DH just came in from mowing the lawn. he said "oh, you didnt have any lunch yet, what can I make you?" (how sweet is he?) I said "how do you know I didnt have lunch yet?" he looked like a deer in the headlight, and said , er, well, your shirt is still clean. then he ducked and ran away.

I guess I am getting a rep around here.

sheesh!
