I like it! It looks like it would be an easy style to take care of, has a flair, and would be light and airy.

How long is your hair now?

I did a similar haircut, not quite the same (and it's got two months of growth on it now and needs a trim)...and it is a lot easier to deal with.

Right now my hair is about three inches below my shoulders. It's layered on top and on the sides, though, and I have kindof wispy bangs that I can either brush back, to the side or straight down (although I have to curl them under if they're down because they're too long).

I don't know why I'm fretting over this so much....my hair grows so fast that if I don't like it it'll be grown out in a couple of months. Plus, nobody sees me but.....me! And my kids. And they don't care.

I posted about this on Daily Insights, but I'll reiterate here that I think you should go for it. I think you will love it.

My hair was a few inches longer than yours earlier this summer. I didnt think I'd like my hair shorter, but it was so hot earlier this summer and I just couldnt stand the heat.

I went to the guy who has been cutting my hair since I was like 10yrs old, and told him to just go ahead and cut my hair like he'd been wanting to do for the past several years.

He got this look of glee in his eyes. I finally had given him permission to do whatever it was he'd wanted to do to my hair. I think he giggled a little bit. He was so excited.

So, he cut my hair and surprisingly, I liked it! Which, is really really...surprising...to me. I LOVED having long hair. I loved braiding it, and playing with my hair since I was able to grow it long (once I got my mom to quit chopping it short when I was little)

I didnt think I'd like short hair, I hated short hair when I was little.

Of course, I havent had it as short as my mom used to make me do when I was little, but right now my hair is the shortest that it's been since then. It's still sort of shoulder length (it wasnt two months ago, I need another haircut) but it's at a length that I dont spend all my time doing anything with it anymore.

Even with all the crochet and knitting I do, my hands just arent as strong as they used to be. (dont understand that...I'm always doing stuff with my hands) I cant keep my arms above my head long enough to do a braid anymore, so it's good that my hair is now short enough all I have to do is wash and dry it.

I say go for it, Kelly. It's a cute style and if you don't like it your hair will grow out.
