sounds like you need some good massage and heat to me.....get cozy in bed with wife and then get out the good ol massage oil. I make my own pain oil....I buy my own essential oils....and my own oils as base....cooking oil guys!!!!! Almond oil and safflower oil cold pressed is great (about 50ml) is the bottle I use then add a very large amount of peppermint oil seen as all massage oil for pain has massisve doses of menthol....hmmmm that is peppermint guys........droppers full.....about four ....I test it tll I can feel the cool amount I like then I add clary sage, rosemary, marjoram (no I am not cooking....but.....hmmmm stomach rumbling ) as well as eucyluptys, wintergreen and oh hmmm orange oil.....kind of mish mash of all good pain oils....anyone want info reallly happy to give my secret recipies away...but as a good cook (not a chef who makes things the same every time...) my meals ...or rather oils are never the same twice even when I do write them down.......

take care all.

hugs...
Victoria

Default Good morning!

Hello again,
I have been off from the forum for nearly one month - and I am happy to be back again.
I read your conversation in the "today I" thread and so I am up to date what happened.

My "cure" was really fine and I enjoyed the treatments: lymphatic massage, physiotherapy with 1) trigger points and 2) mobilisation of the first rib, phonophorese etc etc etc
I was able to switch off my brain: I had a timetable when and where is what kind of therapy and the meals were served and the room was made - so I had nothing to do besides beeing there at time. Really great.

Of course, I didn`t return "cured" - I still have my shoulder and TOS problems but I am in a good mood and relaxed and I hope this holds on.
The doctor told me to see and apreciate the parts of the body who are good and healthy and not to focus the part who is sick. This will help me to come out easily from acute pain.

I cannot answer each thread here, so I wish you all a good day and all the best with your situations.
Best wishes
Barbara

Today I....
.... think youu have the the right idea on taking things a bit slower Lisa as far as the cake goes when the Armadillos were not loodking I tokk it off Red's porch<YUM>
.... thank Victoria, Red and Jo for their wishes, no this was one of those controlable episodes... the muscles and nerves are still a bit loose since the shots, as far as the message, it actually hurts to get one <damm RSD/Fibro> oh well life goes on!!! Jo at least you got the kithen done, this past year I was to put a new roof on (my brotehr, father, uncle and and I) but was in no shape to be hammering and carrying shingles... that is my first priority when WC or SSD comes about.
.... wlecome Frau Barb back and glad to hear that you had a great rest, unfortunatley this is not Austria, lucky health system suplies us with a Dr visit

and unto all GOOBER-N-MARK wish all a good day!!!!

Default Today I

want to share something with you:
in the "cure-center" I had a therapy called "Energy Island":a color-aromatic-sound therapy for a) relaxation b) vitalisation or c) anti-pain

I asked how the piece of music was called that helps again pain, and I ordered it and yesterday I got it.
I will insert the link and it is number 2 "Hörprobe 2" that helps against pain.

Default hi all

Hope all are feeling ok tonight and that there is no one in too much pain....
I am sitting with my hot pack on munching some delicious Danish blue cheese with some kalimatra olives and melba toasts....hmmmmmm dinner..lol

too lazy to cook. I am in muscle spasm but not too bad. Saw a new neurologist on Monday and am in love she just listened wanted no other medical paperwork from my past three years and said we'll start fresh!!!!!!
How refreshing to have a doc who actually cares!!!

hugs to all,
Victoria

Today I... found one CD of intrest over at the site you put up Barb, unfortunately with EURO to dollar conversion and shipping, not even a thought, this one being...Hektik, Betriebsamkeit und eine ständig wachsende Informationsflut bestimmen den Alltag.
Though hope your therapy is still lasting and helping you through your days!

.....Must say Victoria, as refreshing as that sounds may get costly if she repeats any test! If you would like please PM me with the doctors name and location and I will post it up on the Drs. list in the correct area... my best of luck to you, you sound so excited with this new prospect and treatment

.....am highly frustrated with the pharmacy that, I usually go to and dropped off my scripts last week, called last week and was told call us back in a few hours... time to change pharmacies

Wish all my best and certainly do hope all are having a low pain day !!!!

Default Hi All

Mark,

I thank the one above every day for the Canadian medical system repeats and repeats and repeats at whos cost..hmmmmmm mine I guess damn taxes but still no out of pocket....not sure if I am able to post the name, but if anyone in my area Toronto/Hamilton Ontario wants the name PM me and I will send it to you. I am weary after last forum Mark. Who knows what is read by whom.....?????? anyhow.......sorry the massage dosnt work but what about the oil.....could it help or would it aggrevate as it stimulates??????
MarK....Pharmacy is sooooo key as I have learned....if they don't recognise you or know you by name or help you with your meds.....time to find a new one I find the small ones run independantly more efficient and friendly...just my own observation up here in the north........

Take care all

V

Hi There..
I hope this finds everyone in a low pain day..
I know what you mean Mark the cold and damp days just put me in bed.. My husband calls me a human barometer.. I can predict weather better than those weather guys...
My pain is returning to my surgical side and my hand is becoming clumsey again.. I see my surgion next month.. I guess it was my luck to get that old scar tissue to return
Oh, Well... But then again some things are still doing very well.. I still have no numbness in my hand..
I hope everyone has a great weekend..
((Hugs to All))
Dawn

Thumbs up Med Recall

TODAY I... was sent an E-mail that may be of intrest to some

STOP TAKING anything containing this ingredient. It has been linked to
increased hemorrhagic stroke (bleeding in brain) among women ages 18-49
in the three days after starting use of medication. Problems were not
found in men, but the FDA recommended that everyone (even children) seek
alternative
medicine.

The following medications contain Phenylpropanolamine:

Acutrim Diet Gum Appetite Suppressant
Acutrim Plus Dietary Supplements
Acutrim Maximum Strength Appetite Control
Alka-Seltzer Plus Children's Cold Medicine Effervescent

BC Allergy Sinus Cold Powder
BC Sinus Cold Powder
Comtrex Flu Therapy & Fever Relief

Dexatrim Caffeine Free
Dexatrim Extended Duration

Dimetapp 4 Hour Tablets

Tavist-D 12 Hour Relief of Sinus & Nasal
Congestion
Triaminic DM Cough Relief
Triaminic Expectorant Chest & Head
Triaminic Syrup ! ! Cold & am and pm Allergy
Triaminic Triaminicol Cold & Cough .....

I just found out and called the 800# on the container
for Triaminic and they informed me that they are voluntarily recalling
the following medicines because of a certain ingredient that is causing
strokes and seizures in children:

Orange 3D Cold & Allergy Cherry (Pink)
3D Cold & Cough Berry
3D Cough Relief Yellow 3D Expectorant

They are asking you to call them at 800-548-3708 with the lot number on
the box so they can send you postage for you to send it back to them, and
they will also issue you a refund. If you know of anyone else with small
children, PLEASE PASS THIS ON. THIS IS SERIOUS STUFF!
