checking in....
hope all are well
been a long week for us. Funeral on Monday for a lady my family and I knew from church- she was a great woman. Passed away from metastized pancreatic cancer, only 4-5 weeks (I think) after Dx. I learned alot from her over the 15 years I knew her, but I also learned ALOT from her the way she handled this. Amazing woman- she will be missed.

i hope alll are well

Default feel dread and fear of flying and traveling.....

oh the perils of travel back to Ontario (home) with TOS! I hate to travel....I hate to pack I hate to feel like I am squished in a tiny plane seat!! I have decided to use a heat pack like the kind you'd use for arthritis or a backache. they advertise on TV. I have tried it out and it heats up a treat!!! I had no idea they were so good. I will just take as much diazepam and percocet as I can and put the heat on...and beep like crazy on the way through the security gate...there is iron in the heat pack. I hope they don't take it from me!!

I will try to have fun.....after all it is for my baby brothers wedding!!! Looking forward to seeing family and friends at the wedding. My doctor even told me to use alcohol.....he said get a nice buzz!!!! LOL

take care all,
love and hugs,
Victoria

Enjoy the wedding Victoria!, im sure the painful journey will be worth the wonderful memories you gain. Those heat pads are wonderful - i was also suprised at how effective they are and how long they stay hot for!. Wishing u a very pleasant (if slightly drunk!) flight.

Wishing everyone an enjoyable weekend!

Ps - i had my first alexander technique session today and the woman aligned my spine whilst i lie down, she walked around me and adjusted my limbs. My middle back felt a little odd afterwards, but im sure thats just because my spine is not used to being adjusted like that!

Vic- enjoy the wedding, and congrats to baby brother! The travel does stink, but at least its for something good. I'm sure you thought of this, but I would pack all/most of your meds in your carry-on (or the fiance's (Mark?)- even better!) I had the unpleasant experience about a year ago of bringing only 2 or 3 days of meds wiwth me in my carryon for my 6 day trip, only to have the airline lose my checked luggage... for good.

Good news, speaking of travel, is that Heather and I are going back to Italy in October. Flying first class on frequent flier miles! wooooo!!

Hey all,

Finally some good news. After a year of paperwork, Dr's reports etc, my insurance company has approved my disability insurance claim! What a relief!
