Default Today I...

want to be a magician and if it was be possible I would let dissapear the pain and do magic for Mark`s case with the companies.

Unfortunately, I can`t and instead I send all positive and energetic thoughts that the situation will be better soon.

All the best

Default Today I..

have to admit that it is not my day: feel tired, in pain and don`t have the mood to work.
Tomorrow will be the wedding of my cousin and I love familiy meetings (not at all, but there is nothing to do, I have to go there ).
So I will be back online on monday and I wish a very agreable, painfree and good time to all readers.

hello friends,
i added some search info for how to find some of the old BT1 info up in the sticky/useful link thread.

but if the cached results have more than 1 page - i don't know how to get to the rest of it.
If you click on the next page in the cached results it will go to the present BT announcement page.

I found this info in one of Liz/wittesea posts maybe she has some more ideas on that part of it.
have a nice day all.

Default Today I

want to say hi to everyone. I am still waiting for surgery, and if at all possible I seem to be getting worse as time goes by. Just to refresh memories, I have bi-lateral TOS as a result of a motor vehicle accident on Aug. 28, 2006. I have done the physio and chiro. I still see my chiro 1x per week, and he is the only reason I function at all. I feel the best when I keep my hands and arms curled up closely to my chest. This unfortunatly is leading to some amounts of muscle atrophy.

My lawyer developed cancer, and has passed my case to another firm. I am very nervous about this as he had come so highly recommended, and I don't know anyone at this new firm.
TamaraShadow, any advice on questions to ask the new lawyer?

I can't drive anymore, and am finding it next to impossible to run my daycare. If I have to pick up one of the children, I find it really painful. I want more than anything to get better.

Hi trix,
as much as possible try to keeep some amount of movement - keeping arms curled in is not to good for circulation or maintaining muscle as you mentioned.

slow and gentle movements to keep your range of motion as best you can.

Have you tried the laying on the floor thing?
I'll repost it here-

For passive gentle stretching - try
Laying on a rolled up towel or foam cylinder {approx 6"x30"}
or flat on floor if that is more tolerable for you
let gravity drop shoulders and open chest
{pectoral muscles } and use diaphramatic breathing to relax and release into the stretch

lay the length of the spine on the cylinder /or floor with a small pillow for head & neck if needed {pillow was recomemended for me because of the c-spine issues}

just relax and let shoulders drop and chest and armpits will release and stretch - place arms at a comfortable position 15-20 minutes as often as you can.

If you have mild low back troubles put a pillow under knees or raise them.
If you have any spine problems check with doctor before doing this.

I need to go do this myself - haven't been able to since we had everything crammed into living room while redoing kitchen.

Default Today I ...

Want to say Hi to Barbarea and tell her how sorry I am she had a bad day the other day, I hope the wedding goes/went well and she does not spend days recovering it as we TOSers sometimes do...

To Trix I send my best wishes and a hope that she can find an attorney that can help her get through the quagmire of W/C to aplace where she can receive the proper care and get on the road to healing...

Patience dear one, I sympathize with what you must be feeling and going through, just be patient, because the stress that you are describing can wreak havoc on your body and recovery. Is their someone else who can lift the children for you? Do you have anyone working for you that can do that? Be mindful that any thing that HURTS as you are doing it can be a RE-INJURY... AS much as you can, avoid doing anything that hurts!! Even physio. exams and p.t.!!

I had inappropriate P.T. at the beginning that worsened my injury!!
Dr.Ellis and Peter Edglow say NOTHING should cause pain!! Good luck ... and God Bless...

Hello to Jo55, and wishes for a good day.... I am grateful you are here to help us all on this forum...

Mark... SOOO SORRY TO READ YOUR STORY!!! It is very similar to mine!!! All I can say is Hang tough !! You have done nothing wrong !! You deserve PROPER CARE!!! I refused to let them push me away and demanded tests I new would diagnose my condition once and for all. W/C denied my requests for tests and my Private Insurace paid for them on a GREEN LEIN and gave me positive results for Bilateral TOS. A conclusive test that I am aware of is a specialized MRI/MRA of the brachial plexus area.

I don't know the rest of your circumstances Mark, I just hope and pray you can find a way to have this test peformed. Maybe Tam can help or has she suggested anything??? I will keep you and your wife in my prayers...

Which reminds me, the only thing they can ask your wife not to participate in is a pysch. eval. she can be present, take notes and audio tape EVERYTHING else you go for...AND SHE SHOULD!!!! You need a witness because these Quacks are the enemy!! They don't want to pay for your help!! They want to save money at your expense!!

Unfortunately you really have to FIGHT TO GET HELP!! The last thing you want to do when you are in as much pain as we experience!! So again, hang tough and don't take their attitudws and actions personally. WE know you are a honest man!! Who cares what they think!!

I wish I could write more today to others but I can't sit any longer, my arms feel like they will fall off...

But wishes are extended for a wonderful weekend (under the circumstances, as horrible as they might be) to all...

Hugs and Hugs,
G~

Butterfly123 was in school for nursing - but haven't heard from her in a long time.
I hope she is doing well- I guess she must be or she'd have posted something.

Boy Oh Boy... Today I am so sore.. We have had to move somethings around in our house to accomidate my husbands new saltwater fish tank.. Even though he does the majority of the work...I still had to rearrange the little things.. Now my neck and mid back are so sore among other things.. I see Pain Killers in my very near future like now...
I hope that everyone is hanging in there..
Mark, I hope your days get better..
Jo, I hope your chicken on the barbie is scrumpshise (I probley spelled that one wrong)
Gromlily, Trix and Barbara.. I hope the coming week is kind to you and you find pain free days ahead..
If I missed anyone else.. I wish you all a great and painfree labor day and lets not labor too much..
((Hugs)) Dawn
