Default Cold Cold Cold

Suggestions please...my hand is cold ALL the time...my arm - the back of the upper arm is especially cold...cold to the touch...I can feel it through my shirt. I freeze at night...it's driving me nuts...anyone have any suggestions short of wearing one glove all day?

On a side note - I have decided to go ahead with surgery and am just waiting on a date. I am truly hoping that helps with the pain and discomfort. I am stressed both at work (somehow I am barely managing through the days - I am hoping sooner or later I can have a life as well) and about my arm...But keeping positive thoughts...

Default Hi Jamy

Brrrr... My arms are cold almost all the time and my hands feel like I had them in a bucket of ice cubes for hours..I haven't found anything that works for me other than wrapping up in a blanket and wearing sweats around the house.. My husband comments to me that its 75 degrees in the house and he's sweating and there I sit freezing.. He's always Hot and I'm always Cold so you can imagine our poor thermastat is very worn out...
I wish I could offer some help for you.. Maybe once you have your surgery things will improve..
Best of Luck..
((Hugs))
Dawn

Default brrrr...cold

Oh yes, I know this coldness, too.
My vascular surgeon told me that there is nothing to do than jumping around or doing some arm movements,....
And I can tell you, it helps. I sometime feel like a frog jumping through the room - but it is in fact the only way to have a normal temperature in the body for me. And because I feel so silly I always start laughing..

Hope this helps!
Barbara

Hi Jamy,
Myy doc just strted me on a med called Clonidine... its original use was for HBP, though he uses it to increase circulation! Far as gloves go during the summer I find the need to carry a pair of white cotton ones, that especially in the frozen food isle have to put on. Right now as I type this I have a heavy mitten on my left hand (ergo.) typing errors and slow as I amusing one finger on my right hand best of luck keep us posted

Default Yeah

Look forward to getting together Vic!

I need a vacation - thinking maybe after surgery and some healing has gone on, even a long weekend somewhere warm would be nice...

Flannel sheets - good idea! I will have to find my electric blanket. Meanwhile the bf's cozy arms help lots!
