I don't know if many of you have tried or have a TENS or other type of Electrical stimulation device, here are some pad placement guides if you would like to give it a try. I just have a cheap EMS {elec muscle stim - no rx needed to buy this kind online} Mine really seems to help with the muscle soreness ... just don't turn it up too high.. that will make the muscle tighten up too much. Just a light vibration/massage feeling is what to aim for. Mine does have a touchy dial - I suggest a digital for better control over setting/intensity. I got mine from this site , but you can find them anywhere to compare cost & info. http://vitalityweb.com/backstore/productindex.html If you haven't tried out those new massage recliners with full body massage & heat ...ohh baby... they are nice.. touch pad controls.. some of them scan your back to adjust to your specific body size.. someday... been checking on craigslist for local deals on those.

Hi Jo,
I could not use my first one, but this second type is a gem. I was lent it for 30 days to see if it worked and as soon as the tech applied and started it up I felt a good thing, I have used this one for years now and found that when I could not use my first type, that had the bee sting type burst, that this one is more massaging up and down waves. It does have 5 settings and one is the bee sting one, the other wave modulations are soothing and do help. The days I need it, I wear it for hours. Lately it has been on the lumbar. I am dying with power outages and pain to the thighs from standing in a line or just going into Walmart for few items. Grocery shoppping I can not even do any more. I do have a rollator but dh has made comments when I take it, thinking we are just running in and out of a few stores. I get in the store and can not walk around it. THe shoulders when I am in a flare does help with a week of using and also the biofreeze, massage, and hot tub. http://www.activeforever.com/p-1086-...it-gm320t.aspx $79 http://www.thebetterbackstore.net/Re...Tens_Unit.html $69 I did have several pads and also could rejuice them up, when dry add a few drops of water to my finger tips and massage it to a tacky gel again. Thanks for the reminder. I was in so ,much discomfort I could not think where to begin to help the low back tonight.. Where do you find the refill pads? I am going to need more by the end of the year? Di

I recently ordered a new batch of the pads from Amazon and used them this morning.
They are much better than the ones that came with my stim. These are the ones I got- http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00..._ya_oh_product The connectors are generic it seems - so you can choose the shape/price /brand that you like. I got the square ones this time, had the rectangle before and i felt like I was always getting them crooked. They still work fine crooked or not but I liked them to be even. {just my personal "thing " LOL } I'm always fixing crooked pictures on the walls and stuff.
