Kelly,

did you have the rib removed and scalene also? Or another type of surgery?

Are you sure that your complaints now - or do you feel - they would be better without the surgery? Because my headaches are now back, but they did leave for about a year and a half completely. Also, the progression of symptoms were at a pretty fast pace, but the surgery halted them. They now are at a snail's pace of increasing.

If you regret it, you are my "first" and I am sorry you regret it. You are allowed to have a different outcome - none of us are the exact same, which makes TOS so hard, again, in so many ways.

God bless you though and I hope you find some path for some relief.

Does anyone know how Anne is doing???

I had a rib resection and scalenectomy. I'll never know how I would have felt if I hadn't had the surgery -- maybe I would feel worse.

The surgery did not halt any symptoms except a glove like feeling and tourniquet feeling at my elbow. These were not particularly bothersome, especially compared to the pain.

My headaches became much worse and developed into migraines.

I know that I developed scar tissue on my brachial plexus. It was still forming 8 months after surgery; that's never a good sign.

Unfortunately, no one really knows how they will scar. I had PT with a knowledgeable person starting one week after surgery.

I don't begrudge my surgeon. I think he did a good job and I was a good recovery patient. Sometimes things just don't work out. My surgeon said 85% of his patients get somewhat better. Of course we all want to be in the 85% but someone has to be in the 15%.

Thanks for your concern.
