Thanks, Red and Victoria! Lots of info here. Maybe it's worth a try...I wonder what works well for breakthrough pain while using this. I'll see what the doc says. Maybe he'll have some samples I can try...

Ah...having babies...it will certainly be more difficult, but I agree with Red, that the joy they bring will help balance out the difficulties. I've had five; I'm very thankful that I don't have any more little ones to tote around, and on really bad days it's even hard to "mommy" the youngest ones, but I'm sure there's a way to make it work. It will definitely be a challenge! But such a blessing, as well.

Thanks again for sharing all the info, ladies...

Take care!

Donna

Default Codiene?

Does Tramadol contain Codiene? This has been a hard part in the pain fight with my doc - allergist thinks I have a Codiene allergy. Uggg sucks...

Jamy, I don't think tramadol contains codeine, and there's nothing in the literature that shows a contraindication for tramadol if you're allergic to codeine, but you may want to check with a pharmacist to be sure.

Here's a link to the prescription insert published by the manufacturer:

Hope this helps!

Take care,
Donna

Default No Codine

HI Jamy,

Tramadol.....we don't have in canada.....we have tramacet....which has tylenol in it as well as a non narcotic pain reliever. It is synthetic you should not react to it. If you look at my earlier posts you will see the full drug profile. I am taking the long acting zytram xl it is called here in Canada and has just come out. It is great.... I love it. Now my main pain medication as well as the anesthetic shots every three weeks. I hope u can get this you will likley start at a dose of 150...is the smallest it comes in and then if it is not enough then take two of them......very few side effects which is why I love it!!!! I get more side effects from the diazepam.....ie falling down the stairs a few times a week you should see the rainbow of colours on my bum!!! green, blue, black....did it a week ago and it still hurts to sit on!

anyhow good luck wiht this one..
oh by the way pm or email me......I am in town and we can do dinner!!!!!
take care

Victoria
