I bumped up the poll we had about how we got TOS , but it doesn't show who had the extra ribs , only that 11 had selected that choice.
there are some posts along with it and they may tell more details. This post from the sticky thread has other polls that might have more details of who had the extra ribs. http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/post85992-17.html

I had an extra 1st rib and bands. They removed the bands many many years ago and it seemed to help quite a bit until after I had a my sons. The neuro I saw much later said that pregnancy made everything worse and it went downhill from there. I was lucky to find a wonderful surgeon (Virgil Wood or Woods I think) at Loma Linda University. He did a 1st rib resection in 1996 and that took care of the problem for another 10 years or so. The sad part is that it's back. At least I think it is. I'm once again Adson's positive, but my doctor isn't sure it's not from the PsA. Who knows? I sure don't! Deb

I had bi-lateral cervical ribs, which fused to the 1st ribs with fiberous bands.
