Hi all, I am still recovering from the pneumonia and getting a little more active. It seems all the complications have set me back a long way in my recovery.I had to miss my 6 week post op check woih the surgeon( mid march) because hubby and I were still too sick with pneumonia to make the 2 hour drive and my back was still too bad. Now I don't see the surgeon until april 16th. So I still haven't got the whole surgery report. But I have a question if a few of you wouldn't mind replying. Nobody told me if I was supposed to have PT after this surgery. I saw PT day before my surgery and they showed me a few things to do following surgery but that was it. So do we need to have PT fter rib resectin and muscle removal? I am still unable to get a full breath, but the last chest xray they did when i had pneumonia said my lung was still partially collapsed at the bottom. So I dont know how long that is supposed to take to heal. I started doing a little housework but there isn't much that doesn't flare me up. Can someone tell me if you were supposed to have PT after surgery?? thanks and (((hugs))) and prayers for all of you!
