Today's Featured Articles

Featured Article #1: Dr. Fred Feldstein eliminates 7 year old girl’s dog phobia and bedwetting problem: Dr. Fred Feldstein's EFT work for this young girl's fear of dogs was one of our delightful "one minute wonders." By contrast, however, the bedwetting problem had many aspects and took several sessions. After some persistence Dr. Feldstein says, "Finally, between the 2nd and 3rd week of working with her, she was able to wear big girl underwear for the first time in her life and no more bed-wetting!" Email Dr. Feldstein

Featured Article #2: Marie’s 40-year fear of riding a bike eliminated by finding the core issue: Let Marie Holliday from Spain take you on a delightful EFT "ride" involving her successful trip through her intense bike riding phobia. Note how she persists and finds many aspects along the way. Email Marie

Featured Article #3: Gilbert Robert does EFT with his 94 year old father and eliminates his balance problem - interesting side benefits too: Gilbert Robert creates a remarkable improvement in his father's balance problem and says, "had I not known EFT, my father would have had to see a doctor ... would have had tests of all sorts done on him ... would have had to have someone to take care of him..." Email Gilbert

Featured Article #4: EFT for 6-year-old’s separation anxiety ... and a sore throat too: Children often respond well to EFT and Kathilyn Solomon gives us a first class example of this. Note how the separation anxiety was handled quickly. This often takes months of conventional therapy. Email Kathilyn and Visit her website

Featured Article #5: A 60-year old shocking memory collapsed in 30 minutes: Lori Gilbert's mother witnessed a shocking incident at age 13 that has consistently upset her for 60 years. This type of memory has limited the lives of countless people but, as you will see, is quite easily resolved with EFT. Email Lori and Visit her website

Featured Article #6: Using EFT for the emotional issues of Down Syndrome: Those with Down Syndrome are often sensitive, intuitive people and, like everyone else, they have their share of emotional issues. I think you will find this article by Miriam Avraham from Jerusalem an inspirational guide for helping these brothers and sisters of ours. Email Miriam

Tips from the EFT Website

A quality look at "The Apex Effect": Silvia Hartmann-Kent gives us a quality look at "The Apex Effect." This is a good article for showing to disbelieving EFT newbies. It could act like mirror for them and, hopefully, allow them to see their own reflections. "..People affected by the Apex Effect lose their fear, pain, or whatever the symptom was during the treatment, usually entirely, but will not credit the effect to the treatment itself, trying to find other explanations.."

EFT aids apparent cancer cure: EFT Contributing Editor Dr. Alexander Lees from Canada skillfully applied EFT to "Erin" whose only chance of survival was to have a bone marrow transplant, and she writes a letter at the end of this article. Alex writes about this case in his usual light-hearted humorous style and fills it with insightful gems that serious EFT students will appreciate.

Elevator phobia and the feeling of being trapped: Joe Bavonese, a newcomer to EFT, separates an elevator phobia into several aspects and, in the process, finds a core issue (feeling of being trapped) that generalizes over other fears. Total time was 40 minutes.

Alzheimer's, "Absent tapping," & other experiences: Catherine O'Driscoll from Scotland uses surrogate tapping (she refers to it as "absent tapping" because it is done over a long distance) in behalf of her father who has Alzheimer's disease. There are some people that cannot (or will not) tap for themselves and/or it is awkward or unrealistic for us to tap for them. In these cases, why not just tap surrogately (even at a long distance) and see what happens? This is what Catherine did.

An expert discusses EFT and sudden trauma.: Dr. Larry Stoler is a seasoned expert with these tapping procedures, having been at the forefront of this movement for many years. He shares his expertise with two cases where EFT is used for suddenly inflicted trauma. After that, he makes some helpful observations.

A subtle, complete and rapid cessation of the fear of being alone: What more powerful result could you ask for than to have a substantial problem vanish so completely that you forgot you even had it? Fortunately, with EFT, this subtle (but powerful) result happens with some frequency and can usually lead to the APEX problem. A thank you to Margaret Haines, a seasoned therapist, for her personal example of this "forgot I even had the problem" result.

Food repulsion, email phobia, golf & rejection: Michelle LaPrise offers some unique uses for EFT, including a potential flip side of using EFT for addictive cravings. Instead of relieving urges for things we consume, we now find evidence that we can eliminate the repulsion (or phobic response?) to certain foods we have been avoiding. How many children, for example, develop a repulsion for vegetables, seeds, grains and a long list of other healthy foods? What does that do for long term health?

The layers of trauma: In emotional healing, things aren't always as they seem. Deborah Mitnick guides us through a session she had a year ago with "Meredith" who had intense reactions over witnessing a baby's accidental death. Somehow, Meredith felt responsible for this death even though she had no part in it whatsoever. It was an irrational response, of course, and even Meredith recognized it. Fortunately, Deborah was able to find the core issue and provide lasting relief for Meredith.

A height phobia with traumatic roots: Some phobias are linked to past traumatic events. When this is the case, phobia relief is not likely to occur until the individual traumas (aspects) have been neutralized. Loretta Sparks, a seasoned pro at these procedures, recalls a height phobia case where her client was able to recall his past traumas so rapidly that they seemed to be mere eyeblinks apart. Here's how it happened.]
