All I know is that mine were pulled up & stuck after my spasms were resolved.
I felt better with the spasms gone but still had limitations.
That was why I sought out the advanced PT(he was a teacher at a university that had a clinic)

Advanced PT first fixed them & then chiropractor dropped them down and again whenever top ribs would pop up again - usually after I did some fairly heavy or strenuous activities.

My symptoms when I had the raised top ribs-
I was having limits on my activities and arm use.
I could do things but only for a very short time before pain/discomfort /fatigue set in.
I was also having annoying throat symptoms like swallowing problems, choking feelings, voice weakness/hoarseness

most of those resolved when my ribs were dropped.
