[TOS Gerl]

Hey,

Anyone taken or been on Percocet? My Dr started me on it about 5 weeks ago, I have no side effects, and it helps better than anything with the pain, I take 2 to 3 a day, depending on the day.

My normal Dr... was not in today, so the covering DR didn't want to refill, but did change his mind after he was out of the room for about 10 minutes, and said well your light at the end of the tunnel is near...he had asked about 10 other drugs, yes I have tried them and they didn't work, or had very bad side effects, he knew nothing about TOS and thought I was having shoulder surgery... So Should I be worried about being addicted to this drug? Surgery is on Dec 10th, pretty sure I will be on some Drugs after surgery, I have not had the discussion about what I will be going home with... Any thoughts? Ideas or should I worry?

I'm guessing for the surgery they will ask what you are taking and make sure to use a compatible med or the same.... but it might be good to let the surgeon/team know ahead of time...I think.
I know Perc can be habit forming , but not sure of how long it takes to develop that.. or how long to ween off if needed.
mrsD probably would know more details on that sort of thing.
