Hello ozkira, for for side sleeping my picture would be just like yours with one exception. I have a dense memory foam pillow that I place next to my chest to put my arm over and take some of the pressure off from the shoulder. it works very well for me, and seems to have been the solution to less arm pain, and numb hands.

hi Tossucks I use a body pillow beside me and try and keep my arm over it and for now the numbness isn't as bad during the day. My INR blood test yesterday is still way too low meaning it's easier to clot again even with the blood thinners. I have a hematologist appointment next week so am hoping he look into things a little more than he has in the past and maybe send me to the right doctor.

I have been considering getting Dragon Naturally speaking to make it easier when on the PC. If it helps then I can look into going back to do some admin type work but will see how I go with the software 1st before making that decision. The only barrier to the program is the cost and hoping Santa helps with a little cash this year so that I can buy it.

There is probably a thread here on dragon naturally speaking, I have heard great things about it.
As far as the pillow goes it seems to support the one arm while taking pressure of from the other shoulder.
Good luck with your appointments.

check on ebay , someone else was asking about Dragon a few weeks ago & I found some good prices there.

If you have Vista or Win7 - you have some voice recognition/speech program built into it.
You just have to set it up.

Thanks for posting that Jo*mar. I have Vista and I didn't realize speech recognition was on there. I just set it up and this is my first post with it. This is so cool!

Just an update .... I have installed windows 7 and got speech recognition working without having to get DNS as well. I had to purchase a new headset as the gaming one I had wasn't clear enough. Yesterday I used my study's pc mostly with speech recognition and there was certainly a huge improvement with my arms and hands after PC use. Most things I can control with voice command which is great.

My old laptop which I use often hasn't got enough RAM and graphics card isn't ok for windows 7 so will have to keep xp on it. It's not worth upgrading the RAM and graphics card so eventually I will have to get a new laptop. I will have to look into DNS for the laptop but I don't think I have enough guts in it to run it effectively also.

I reasearched my options and know a lot more about my PC and laptop, brought a windows 7 mag before installing. I am lucky I am tech savvy and didn't need to call in a tech to do anything for me. I will post in the vista/win7 sr thread about some technical hints that may be useful to others who go down the same path as me and install windows 7 themselves.

Post Research on Paget Schrotter and FVL

I came across this page which is what confirms to me a lot about my clotting issues being linked between TOS and FVL Its a great read. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2967689/
