Default Anyone have discovery for a car accidnet?

I know what discovery is when we processed at criminal court as retired law enforcement, but has anyone been through discovery for a car accident for their injury?

I have Discovery set for Friday.

I have never had an IME, or any medical exams by their side, there were depositions. The attorney wanted me to settle for $30,000. The girl gave conflicting testimony, the investagating officer, a co worker who also was the best friends of this girls Uncle (a police Sgt.) so he denied my injuries, police car damage, and did not arrest or charge the girl for driving DUI.
With the police officer sticking up for friends neice it hurts my case.

They are saying I was not hurt that night, did not go to ER, and he denies I told him the next day of my pain. The doctor took me out of work. W/C was settled long ago while in college for pennies.

THis girl hit and run, DUI, fleed from the second officer, did not take her for D&A test, left her drive off as she was his friends neice he said......

They want me to settle for the $30,000.
They offered my husband $5,000.
I lost over $100,000 in wages, medical is about 10 thousand +, retirement, $250,000, retraining was $38,000,
Total lifetime loss was $470,000, not counting pain and suffering, or my husbands losses.
PO'd but glad it will be moving along.......
Hopefully a better offer by Friday.
Di

Hi Di...I've had depos, 3 IMEs, and mediation r/t auto accident...all IMES but one in my favor...other one not bad, just stupid

Mine was w/drunk driver, no liability question. Just trying to find acceptable settlement figure before trial...

That stinks...I didn't have to deal with that!

Hope things work out for you...would chances at trial be better? Opposition in my case does not want me in court...

Default should be

donna this case was so cut and clear, until the co-worker wanted this girl off the hook. He abused his position, but, as a cop it is his word against mine.
Its my buddies neice he said to me three times, I was taken out of work had nerve damage and he screws around making me look like I never dais anything for months.

I never had an IME, they have only dotor files from the first year, 6 years ago.

I hate lazy power abusesive cops, that is why I went into law enforcement to help people honestly, to really help them, protect them, educate even.
THIS JERK SUCKS and the attorney does not want to go to trial with his testimony...
Can you imagine my look when he showed up and testified for THEM!
why does the good guy get kicked in the butt?

Oh, Di, I'm so sorry...this seems so unfair. I hope your settlement talks will bring about at least some justice.
