My EMG to diagnose TOS was done on both sides, with the needle being inserted into the space between C7 and T1 (the C8 nerve root). It's a bit painful, but not unmanageably so. You will be sore afterwards.

I don't think EMG's are done on the pec minors. They simply deaden the pec minors, and if it gives you relief - then they might consider a pec minor dis-insertion (clipping the muscle where it attaches at the highest point).

Hope this helps - good luck!
Anne

dang it. i was hoping i could direct them to certain spots...

i really think i have pec minor syndrome? the area always feels like jelly/swollenish on one side and in my arm pit. but i dont ahve neck pain on that side.. clipping pec m. does not seem like a good idea for me bc i have ehlers danlos.

In the past some have mentioned a band like tightness around the tri/bicep area..
But I haven't noticed any tricep problems myself.

I do have irritated deltoid or brachialis insertion or origin attachment points , the sore areas are in the middle of my upper arm facing forward on both arms -.
sometimes they are more bothersome and other times not much at all.

this site is interesting for muscles and attachment points-

The pec minor/armpit stuff could be lymph nodes clogged up..

are your nerves completely entrapped? would that cause a jellyish feeling? up until recently i couldnt straighten my arms out at my side.

i think my triceps have exp'd a lot of atrophy i guess. the pec/serratus area. maybe its just more muscle spasms. i know my subscap has ginormous trgr pts.

I don't think my nerves are affected much anymore, I would have higher pain levels then I think.
I mostly have mild discomfort levels and it fluctuates due to weather, postures & uses.
