TOS is from degranulation of mast cell that induce inflammation then fibrosis, we all know that now.
Palmitoylethanolamide stop degradulation of mast cells. It is sell under the name "normast", in italia as a medical food. Normast has been demonstrated to decrease pain in diabetic neuropathic pain, lumbosacral pain, carpal tunnel syndrome and nervus medianus compression pain. http://www.molecularpain.com/content/7/1/3 Here some studies : For carpal tunnel syndrome - same mecanism as TOS : http://www.iocob.nl/english-articles...thanola-3.html Mast cell, vasa nervorum and nervi nervorum in cts : http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/3630608 http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&sourc...Vk1WEt4WZAUEBM For sciatic or back pain : http://www.neuropathie.nu/patients-o...amide-nor.html http://alphalipoicacid.us/ciap-and-p...e-normast-m4v/ http://leftpain.com/index.php/diabet...mast-m4v-7454/ http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/20345619 I think normast = Pain free for Ntoser and minors side effects if any. Stopping mast cell may allow a possible treatement for the fibrosis in combinaison of pentoxifylline and tocopherol. But the problem is : It's only sold in italia Last edited by boytos; 02-15-2011 at 07:59 AM. |

As far as mast cell degranulation; I tried a mast cell stabilizer a year ago in the hopes of inhibiting degranulation. Didn't do very much for me. The drug was tranilast.
Stresam works fairly well so far. |

Any movement induce a reperfusion injury and give a chance to reactivate all the cascade (i think). Too bad they aren't real NO agonist, or muscle relaxant...
