Default Heard from Yasuko in Japan - She is OK

Worried for long time TOS friend in Japan.

I know that Yasuko had closed her social network account last year or so, but I am very concerned for her and her family in Japan.

I have not heard from her, but sent an email to the last address I have.

Sending prayers for her and the families safety
Di

I do so hope that your friend and her family are safe DiMarie, and I'll add my prayers to your own.

Having seen on television the state of things in Japan, I'm sure it must be difficult for anybody to be using the internet for non-essential/social reasons at the moment.

I hope you hear from her soon but I'm thinking it might be a while, considering the chaos the people are going through.

She has not posted on TOS since her last trip to the US about 2009 If I recall.

It certainly might help to try another avenue. Could you send that user name an email or PM?

Also, does your govt have lists of safe and missing people you can access? Here in OZ we can register to search for a lost family member or friend through various channels. Maybe you have something similar?

I found her username and sent PM & email to her, if that is still an active email account for her.
The info I see says she was in Osaka, Japan area - when she registered anyway.

Osaka is farther south from Tokyo and away from the tsunami zone in the north.

Excellent Jo*Mar!

Osaka was safe from the earthquake and tsunami, was it not?

This website shows the districts of Japan, and in particular those affected by this latest disaster,

http://www.esri.com/services/disaste...map/index.html

Have faith DiMarie because if your friend was close to home, then it looks like she has a good chance of being safe. I hope and pray that is true.
