Mary had her surgery this morning with Dr. Julie Freischlag at Hopkins. She is there all by her lonesome you guys! They will be discharging her from the hospital within 24 hours to an aftercare site close by where she will be staying for the next week (my guess is until the doctor removes the drainage tube and releases her to go back home).
Hopefully Mary won't be driving herself home but I wouldn't put it past her - she is stubborn by her own admission! Seriously though, this person is a caregiver to her mom (stricken with Alzheimer's), trains dogs for the disabled for a living... I think it was Di who said it in an earlier post - why does it seem like TOS always hits the one in the family others depend on the most? Mary if you read this we are all here to support you and wish you a strong recovery from this monster. Don't push the river! |

Dearest Allison, thatnks for the update, I am not sure why I thought Tuesday was surgery. My prayers for a speedy recovery and ongoing healing are with her. Also, for her Mom's care too. I bet it is frightening for her to have strangers caring for her right now.
My love, Di

By now you've probably been released to aftercare. Like the others, I too hope that the surgery went smoothly, and that your recovery is speedy and uneventful!
Best wishes, Stardust |
