Hey, TOSers with hearing issues.

FYI:

When my therapist first started using Kinesio tape on my scalenes, it was wierd. I remember when she took it off, three weeks, later -- most people wear it for 3 days and it falls off, I came out to my van turned on the ignition and had to turn the radio off. sound sensitive again. I hadn't, and still don't usually listen to anything in my autos. That's not at all like I used to be.

I do remember the Kinesio taping on the scalenes helping that, though.

Will look or tape and post photos of taping technique later if anyone is interested in trying it.

I treat my ears, scalenes, insomnia & depression (lay large pad over eyes and ears) symptoms with the LED and infrared light therapy pads on 3 (low setting) for 20 - 30 minutes. I do this for a week or two, pretty conssitently. I'm amazed at the relief and then I get lazy and don't do it for a while and find myself returning for a few light treatments. They are wonderful. Helps sinuses, too.

The only thing that's helped me so far is aspirin - does that fit with TOS?

well supposedly it thins the blood a bit.. so maybe there is compressions on your vert artery or other arteries and it gets thinned enough to get thru a little better...

No i don't think it's that.

Details please.

How much, what type (fractionned or not) , how often, where it is injected.. and the results.

"dramatically, low-dose heparin produces relief, lasting weeks to months. Heparin is a complicated mix of glycose aminoglycans with pleiotropic functions. Only 3% of the heparin functional sites are dedicated to anticoagulation. The rest regulate the extracellular matrix, cytokines, chemokines, growth factors, normalize the endothelium, leukocyte migration, cellular junctions, and stabilize mast cells. Its tissue half life in the extracellular matrix is on the order of several weeks [20]. "

If your scalenes get relaxed or atrophied by heparin, it's possible that the hypertrophy is in part induced by inflammation.

Boytos,
Thanks for that, it's very interesting. I was taking 60mg shots into my stomach and leg for nearly 3 weeks.

I do know I have stenosed internal jugular veins as I was tested for CCSVI and thought the blood was thinner and 'slipping through' a little better. But it was the effect on my muscles that I noticed the most.

If it hadn't caused me tons more fatigue I would have stuck with the treatment.

150mg of aspirin has a similar effect but not as dramatic, it holds off the worst of the painful headaches but doesn't make me too sleepy.

Thanks for looking!
I know I have herniated disks and since a bad fall I had in February my collar bones have been hurting. There is much burning in my neck and shoulders and the vertigo is terrible. They found I have 8mm of chiari 1 malformation but told me there is no problem with spinal fluid to the brain and sent me on my way. I am still having minor to major vertigo, vision problems and I have face pain at certain times of the day. I feel hopeless.
