To get off the ball I usually roll down to the floor or off to the side.
Don't try to just sit up, that would be straining things.

For the exercise, you mean the "Sternal postitional swiss ball stretch" in figure 2? Do you let the head lay all the way back on the ball? |

POSITIONAL SLEEPING is a tough one for us (HA as if we can sleep w/o pain)
Docs say: flat on ur back, pillow and mattress changes. Try this, try that....Makes me wonder what they would resort to if they had TOS tried everything. The latest comfort is maybe 6 super soft king pillows under the low back to the neck then arms. Because our circulation is crimped like a hose as we wake to more pain and stiffness. We need to get that circulation moving. What has really help is this video in the morning not that my system can apply all positions. I have to laugh when it is so easy for these people. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LeL3IvG4iJI along with Edgelow, Feldenkrais exercises and my personal therapists modalities. Utilize your stretches and modify all non supporting arm movements. Google "morning yoga" and you'll find something to apply to your every day needs

Because i'm back to "real" computer things, my symptoms tend to re-up slowly from finger to forearm. woops
But it's not as bad, for the moment it's not even permanent. But i know it will increase, slowly. |

*need to be read*
I'm pretty sure the main theory is to fight against gravity so muscles tend to atrophy and losing strenght (i can feel it). http://jeb.biologists.org/content/204/18/3201.full.pdf http://www.google.com/search?q=muscl...w=1440&bih=780 Info : Microgravity is a state of very low gravity. Atrophy of skeletal muscles is a serious problem in a microgravity environment. It is hypothesized that the unloading of postural muscles˛, which no longer must resist gravity force, causes an accelerated breakdown of contractile proteins, resulting in a reduction in muscle mass and strength. http://www.sciencedirect.com/science...7311779500636S ˛ anterior scalene are postural muscles as well as phasic I have no solution yet for any other entrapment zone so far. Medium scalene, subclavius muscle, pectoralis. But i have some serious french documentations for the subclavius mucle atrophy and i am studying it. The major problem The major problem is : The symptoms tend to return gradually, from fingers up to forearm, while keyboarding. It's a big problem. I think in two months it will go up my elbow. It is not permanent but tend to be permanent. But sleep reduce it. Today i can work fully, but i will switch for sure at 1/2 time. Other need-to-read : "When you load a muscle," Fitts continues, "its fibers begin a series of intracellular signaling steps. Genes within the cell nucleus make RNA [ribonucleic acid], which synthesizes proteins that make up muscle fiber. Pumping iron activates the expression of these proteins, which accumulate and enlarge the muscle fibers." Microgravity has the opposite effect. It reduces the load that gravity naturally places on muscles, interrupting protein synthesis so that fibers begin to atrophy. http://spaceresearch.nasa.gov/genera...mpingiron.html Source : nasa.gov But ! I have no more circulation problems ! Last edited by boytos; 08-24-2011 at 03:23 PM. |

Sorry for syntaxes problems
"Do you let the head lay all the way back on the ball?" Juste find a way that induce the less effort possible for scalenes, support your soulders fully and balanced ect. Last edited by boytos; 08-24-2011 at 09:46 AM. |
