343: I can live about 20% of my past active life. We are all different so comparing is not a measurement of YOUR outcome. Most cases will resolve on their own with proper PT and without any surgical intervention. My case was not ergonomics, trauma or posture. It progressed rapidly and because I had no arm involvement it delayed getting the proper and correct treatment. Today, my arms are involved, but to a lesser degree than some sufferers.
I've made lifestyle modifications, spend several hours a day doing in home PT and receive intensive myofascial therapy. Most people I know have no idea I have this condition. There are many things I still can do. I'm optimistic I will recover a good portion of function back, but I've set timelines of years, not weeks. I have no interest in surgery due to the statistical failure rate, especially with n-tos. Loss of pulse does not mean you have arterial or venous tos, so breathe deep and get on a path to recovery. Six visits are not much, so don't get discouraged when they end and you are still symptomatic. |
