hi jomar, my pt is mobilizing my first rib. it makes a huge difference.
do you still have to get your first rib mobilized or do it yourself from time to time or does it stay down now? thanks

It stays down now, chiro checks it and sometimes gives a small tweak to it if needed. I haven't had any spasms like those really bad ones since then, only some minor tightness at times.

http://www.nismat.org/ptcor/thoracic_outlet I was just curious what techniques people were using who were mobilizing their own rib. I just ordered the Edgelow home kit which includes a "rib mobilizer" and instructions. We'll see if it's the same as the above or something different. |

Strange. Someone from Australia said something similar. Does the U.S. have a monopoly on thoracic outlet syndrome? ![]() Quote:

honestly the stuff my pt does isn't the kind of thing you can do to yourself. she puts her whole body into getting my rib pushed down. i even had a grown man try to push it down, it was completely stuck. now less so.
http://manualtherapy.co.kr/therapy/t...ubmenu_006.php looks a lot like what they do except i dont see the first rib on there i am VERY stuck and hypersensitive so maybe you guys are better off than me with self stretching. my tspine was actually glued to my back/skin, if that makes sense. most recently. my pt pulled it off, yuck, and now it's pretty sore.
