I know most of your aren't experts but can any of you understand this stuff. My dr still hasn't called me about these.

Lumbar Spine MRI -
1. Right L5-S1 posterolateral disc herniation abutting the right S1 nerve root as it exits from the thecal sac.
2. Left lateral disc protrusions at L2-L3 and L3-L4 impressing on their respective spinal nerves in the foramen.
3. Disc bulging and discogenic disease from L1-L2 through L5-S1

Thoracic Spine MRI -
1. Chronic T7 and T10 superior endplate compression deformities, without retropulsion or associated subjacent disc bulge or herniation.
2. There is no herniated disc at any level.

Cervical Spine MRI -
1. There is no herniated disc or mass associated with the cervical spine.
2. Mild C5-C6 and C6-C7 diffuse disc bulges impress on the thecal sac to some degree but do not cause cord or foraminal compromise.
3. There is no mass lesion in the right side of the neck demonstrated on this targeted to the cervical spine.

My neck arteries were fine. They didn't see anything to do with the lump in my neck/collarbone area. I know it's there, it just didn't show up. Would scar tissue show on an MRI?

With regards to the lumbar spine area, do you have pain in your legs at all? What I read there is similar to what we saw when we had my dh in for a lumbar discectomy in 1999. He had pain and numbness in his left leg, so severe that he was bed ridden.

When I was a teenager, I would get really bad cramps during the monthly. They would go down my legs and hurt like heck.

I mention this because I get pain in my legs every so often but not all the time. It feels like the leg pain of my youth. I can go for weeks without leg pain. However, it seems the leg stuff has been getting more frequent. I spoke to a surgeion. He said he wouldn't operate because I don't have the normal symptoms i.e. leg pain etc that is usually normal with lumbar junk.

you might post this on the spinal forum too - they might be able to give you more details on the MRI info since it is mostly about the spinal column.

If I recall most of us have fairly normal MRIs - maybe a bit of c spine issues to confuse the mix.
But I don't think anyone has multiple level issues.

from what I can decipher - your lumbar might be the most problematic??
Was this MRI supposed to help with a TOS cause or Dx?

or just a general MRI to check for everything?

Have you ever had an evaluation from an advanced PT or an expert chiropractor?

a good one might be able to give some relief before having to consider surgery.

MDs don't really check for chiropractic type issues - they just don't study that area in depth or learn to do adjustments.
