Sounds like edema and/or inflammation. I get it above my collar bone.

Maybe you should see a chiro soon?

Here are some exercises and movements to try for TMJ:

Good luck!

If they pop right back out, then maybe it would make sense to try having the BackMagic and NeckPro around your house so you could use them as needed. Presuming your condition doesn't preclude using them.

You can read reviews at Amazon for more info.

Lightbulb

Are you describing your jaw line under the ear?

If so, there are salivary glands located there and they can swell up if you get dehydrated, etc. They feel soft and squishy when full. My doctor recommends sucking sour candy twice a day.. like lemon drops or Jolly Ranchers. This stimulates the glands to empty and the swelling will go down. If you don't do this you may over time develop stones in the glands...this requires surgery and can be very painful, and never really resolve like they were in the first place.

There are also lymph nodes in that region, so they may be contributing.

it's my submandibular gland i think.......but also when i press up under that same area, on the underside up into my jaw it feels fat and hurts. i will try sour candy. that is interesting.

i am thirsty all the time but a uti test came back negative. hrmm.

Could be a swollen lymph node. If it isn't slightly painful when you press on it, don't!

Ms. loafers. .. I always have "swollen Glands" in my neck. The specialist I have been seeing says it is muscles in contraction. In particular mostly platysma muscle which is often overlooked by many drs as being an issue. I also have tmj. It all plays a part in the roll of the muscles that are all ****** off with this condition. Muscles in spasm irritate the nerves in the area, and cause inflamation.
