Hi Tos people,
I'm 8 weeks post op now...... and not feeling so hot!!!!! A few days ago I noticed that I was slightly tender above one of the scars ( above the collarbone) I think now that it is definately my lymph node that is swollen still...... its been up for about 6 weeks now ( my opinion NOT the GPs ). 4 weeks ago I reported the swelling near the lymph region and the GP......... guess what? DISMISSED it, saying: "it's fine, nothing there", while almost tossing his eyes up at me! Man GP's infuriate me when they are so dismissive. I'm running out of options of where to get a 2nd opinion. I'm feeling very frustrated and alone in this quest to try and sort out my health issues. Anyway the whole reason I'm writing this is because yesterday the side of my face swelled up on the side where I had the op. This actually coincided with me visiting my work colleagues to discuss my time out ( sick leave ). X3 people noticed that the side of my face was swollen and commented on it. I kept thinking of reasons why it may of come up: was it the cup of coffee ( toxins), was it because I went for a walk ( slight exercise shifting the lymph fluid), was it stress of going into work ( even though I felt ok and calm to go in)????????? When I returned home I mentioned this to both my mum and husband who also saw it. When resting I could actually feel a slight puffy tingling sensation too. STRANGELY this morning it appears to have substantially gone down!!!!!! What next???? I don't think I can bear to walk into my GP's again....... I'm so sick of their attitude. Has anyone had this problem post op?????? Advice or input would be greatly appreciated!!! Thanks SD38 |

Others have mentioned a lump in that area before also, even before having surgery.
Probably is some lymph drainage blockage, warmth and some very light stroking towards the heart might also help to move it along faster.
