Finding a good primary doc and pain med doc is very hard. I have gone through every med there is. The question is, are you getting any relief from the med. I do not get "high", I manage to live through pain meds, and depending on my activities, people around, weather, these can all throw me into a flare.
I have neuro vascular TOS, RSD and possible Myasthenia Gravis 99* of docs don't know our injury, how it works, nor how much medication we need to function. WE DO. Fight for it when nec. , ignore them otherwise. Get that magazine Pain Management. Scower the Net for PAIN articles and ask eachother for help getting a pain doc. Watch out what you personally put or let out - use your medical privacy, and remember it. God Bless |

I'm taking diazepam/valium 2.5 mg in the morning and then in the evening. When I first started taking it, I felt a little spacey, but nothing severe. It has been very helpful with eliminating muscle spasms as well as reducing pain.
Concurrently, I'm doing other things like physical therapy, correcting my posture, using break reminder software, etc. to improve my underlying condition. I plan to bring the diazepam down from 5mg to 4mg to ... 0 over time. |

Valium (Diazepam) is not a narcotic. It's in a class of drugs called Benzodiazepines.
