Default surgery today

Well I go in this afternoon for surgery to repair torn labrum and remove cysts from shoulder left side. I had follow up yesterday with the vascular surgeon who did my 1st rib resection on left side. He said that the right side will more than likely have to be done within year. I have to follow up with him in 6 months unless it gets worse.

Good luck with the shoulder surgery! My labrum was reattached 3 years ago. The recovery is hard but TOS surgery is definitely worse. After the labrum repair, my arm was kept completely immobile for 6 weeks. ROM at the 1st physical therapy appointment was about 5% which left lots of room for improvement!! Be prepared for major muscle spasms in the shoulder when you 1st start moving the shoulder.

Thanks everyone. Surgery went well, he had to fix a bicep tendon that was torn as well. Will be in sling for 5 weeks. The pain pills are at least helping with the TOS pain as well. Just have to stay positive that the TOS on the right side does not get to bad, I dont want to have that surgery again.
