To Astern,

I absolutely love your quote..... " It is, what it is!" GENIUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It came so naturally for me to reply in such a manner to those who have no understanding of TOS.

It's funny as I always say that myself when talking about my TOS issues with people. When they ask " unanswerable " questions like, what has caused your problem....... the easiest and simplest reply is, who know's why?........." It is, what it is!".

Cool

thanks SD, it's the reply I use also - for those unanswerable questions like:

"Isn't there anything you can do for it?"

Answer: "I've tried everything. No worries. It is what it is."

Haha this quote is great! So true too. Of the unanswerable questions, I especially get a kick out of: "so you're all good? good to go? back to normal??" as soon as you can start moving your arm after surgery.

YES, of course! (*sarcasm*) 3 months post-op and here I am, still in pain, eating chocolate right now b/c thats the only thing that helps

Do muscle relaxers work for any of you? I will take any suggestions at this point. Thanks!
I had this same problem and have had the surgery and am doing a lot better now. But before the surgery my arm hurt so much I would have cut it off if that was the only way to stop the pain. I hate to tell you the only way to even deal with the pain is strong medicine nothing will cut the pain. I couldn't get to the doctor for a while cause I was out of the country and would take 10 advil or ibuprofen at a time just to dull the pain a little which is horrible for the kidney, but it won't cut it only a strong amount of hydrocodone or another type will help cut it. I hope you get to feeling better!!!!

a TOS sufferer is never alone.. we are one, go TOS go
Now doesnt that sound like a cheerleader?
Overwhelmed, under diagnosed with limited resources to help us no matter how much the professionals try

Our spine is the book spine of our mechanical bodies and when the hub of our neurovascular, muscularskeletal and circulatory systems are compromised our brains cannot comprehend all the conditions we suffer from, nor can the body keep up with the on-going diagnosises we are delat day after day...CRPS a plethera of diagnosis'

I have felt so alone with all these issues and so overwhelmed as my world keeps getting smaller and smaller (able to do less and less).
