Cool Update Six Weeks After

Hi everyone ... Well, It was a long time before I have started to feel ok after what turned out to be a pretty heavy time. I now feel more human and actually care a little bit more about others and what goes on around me . My TOS symptoms seem to be gone, but its still a little close to surgery so I will give it time before I judge the recovery. Its only been about the last five days or so since that the feeling of a broomstick stuck in my armpit has gone away. (I have put up with that awful sensation for soooo long...).

I see my surgeon today for my post op check and I'll tell him that the last five days have been really good with my overall feeling of well being, especially since I returned to my exercise regime that has a focus on my neck, shoulder and spine. The ongoing issue is my right arm, which I have mentioned previously, and although I can get a little bit of response from some muscles since starting to exercise, the main unaffected one still takes all the workload and so gets sore and tired quickly.

I can only just lift a dinner plate but not for long without it hurting, my whole hand has needles/tingles with anything I touch, which makes it hard to hold a magazine to read, or type, eating with utensils is challenging and bending the arm up to my face needs help for the last six inches or so.

I return to work next week and I am meeting with my boss tomorrow to discuss what my options will be. I think I will take half days for the first week, while I get used to using my arm more and more.

While it's been all about me, I really want to thank my very special wife for doing everything for me, the nursing, feeding, food prep, the washing up, and still asking if there is anything else she could do for me. She has been so wonderful... ...I will be spoiling her with presents at my first opportunity...

Cheers for now...
